Leighton's portraits, able as they were, were not numerous. We may mention chiefly his own portrait, a full face, painted by himself, for the collection at the Uffizi; Mrs James Guthrie; ‘Sir E Ryan’; Countess Brownlow’; ‘Captain Burton,’ 1876, an extremely fine head, almost in profile; ‘Lady Sybil Primrose.’
