  died February 28 ,1918, Petrograd
  Russian landscape painter. Initially studied at the military school, then at the Saint-Petersburg Arts Academy (1877-1881) under Mikhail Konstantinovich Klodt. Was the member of the ?Mobile Arts Exhibitions Association? (since 1886), entering since 1899 the board of this. Living mainly in Saint-Petersburg, Dubovskoy traveled a lot by the Western Europe and Near East.
 
  Master of picturesque landscape, transitory phase from romanticism to symbolism, the Artist was frequently applying for the winter motifs, having been keen to the quite, calm sates of the nature, bringing into those some national-romantic shades.
 
 Since 1911 ? leading professor of the landscape Studio of the Arts Academy. The Artist?s works are kept at the State Tretyakov Gallery, the State Russian Museum, the Omsk Fine Arts Museum and many others.
