Russian landscape painter. Initially studied at the military school, then at the Saint-Petersburg Arts Academy (1877-1881) under Mikhail Konstantinovich Klodt. Was the member of the ?Mobile Arts Exhibitions Association? (since 1886), entering since 1899 the board of this. Living mainly in Saint-Petersburg, Dubovskoy traveled a lot by the Western Europe and Near East.
