Bonzi Paintings & Biography
Pietro Paolo Bonzi known as Gobbo dei Carracci (the uneven one of Carrache) or Gobbo dei Frutti (the uneven one of the fruits) (Cortone, ~1576 - Rome, 1636) of the Roman school was an Italian painter known pous its natural dead and his landscapes. Bonzi made its training near Giovanni Battista Viola in Rome and belonged to the circle of Annibale Carracci and Domenichino. In Rome, Bonzi was commissioned by the cardinal Pier Paolo Crescenzi. Bonzi also worked for frescos and in 1622,1623, he works with Pietro da Cortona on the ceiling of the gallery of the Palazzo Mattei di Giove and with the Palazzo Pallavicini-Rospigliosi.
