View of the Canal St. Martin
Le Canal", as people of the district say, is a very popular spot for Parisians.
They like its particular "atmosphere", the poetry of its banks bordered by hundred-year old chestnut trees and plane trees and punctuated by romantic footbridges. They enjoy to walk along the quiet banks or to watch the barges navigate the series of locks and road bridges.
The oil painting reproduction is very close to the original Sisley's painting. The paint's texture was cracked at some places for an absolute similarity.
