Raphael did The "School of Athens in a pyramidal composition which is very characteristic of Raphael and the High Renaissance.
You see how our painter has altered this , cutting from the right half of the fresco and by removing certain characters, still keeping the composition strong. This was done by our client's wish, and the aim was to make the absorbed group of students, huddled around the stooped figure of Euclid (or maybe Archimedes) dominate the whole scene.
