The portrait painting is not finished, but it is still signed on the side of the basket that Cornelia is holding. The signature on an unfinished work to such an extent is unusual. But this is the will of the artist. Since Rembrandt wrote his name on this painting, which cannot be sold, it probably means that he intended it to stay with the family.
