Tamara met the model for the "Beautiful Rafaela" in the park: a girl, most likely a prostitute, spent the night there on a bench. The bright appearance of the stranger struck Lempicka, she adored female beauty. Lempicka opened the door of her car for Rafaela and took her away for several years to another life.
